How to Install a Windows XP Boot

Insert the XP disc to install.
Installing a bootable copy of Windows XP to your hard drive will provide you with a working Windows XP installation. This will allow you to enjoy the features of Windows XP, including its System Restore feature and Remote Desktop (for Professional versions). The installation procedure can be accomplished in around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the speed of your computer.
Items you will need
- Windows XP installation CD
Step 1
Place the XP CD into the optical drive.
Step 2
Restart the computer, and press any key to boot from CD.
Step 3
Press "Enter" to begin the process.
Step 4
Tap "F8" to accept the licensing terms.
Step 5
Highlight the drive upon which you wish to install your bootable copy of XP, and press "Enter."
Step 6
Input additional information when prompted, such as your time zone, network information and computer name.
