Firefox is a web browser that is a competitor to the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. Many people prefer Firefox 3 because it is a tad bit faster than Internet Explorer due to its smaller size and because of the very simple controls. Also, if you are thinking about switching to Firefox from IE, you do not have to worry. Viewing web pages on Firefox is done almost the exact same way as in IE.

Step 1

Go to the "Start" menu and click on the "All Programs" list. Expand the "Mozilla Firefox" tab.

Step 2

Double-click on the "Mozilla Firefox" option. This will open up the Firefox web browser.

Step 3

Click on the address bar on the top of the page. Now type in the web address you want to access. For example, type in "http://www.ehow.com/" to connect to the Ehow website.
