How to Recover All of a a Hotmail Email If Only Part of it Is Displayed?

by Greyson Ferguson, Demand Media

If you use Hotmail as your email address you may notice sometimes when an email is opened most of the contents are not displayed. This is because the email you are opening is not a recognized friend of yours, so Hotmail keeps information that may infect your computer hidden. However, if you do want to access this information you can easily recover the rest of the email message.

Items you will need

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Hotmail account

Step 1

Launch the Internet browser on your computer and navigate to your Hotmail account.

Step 2

Click the email you want to access and a portion of it is loaded onto your screen.

Step 3

Click the "Mark as Safe" tab next to "You may not know this sender."

Step 4

Wait and the entire email should be restored.

Step 5

Click the "Show all Content" tab at the top of the email message if the entire email was not restored. This displays the rest of the contents onto the screen.
