How to Replace Windows Solitare Games

For many computer owners, being able to play Solitaire during downtime is an integral part of the experience of owning a computer. However, there are hundreds of known Solitaire variants, and having access to only one variant can eventually become dull. Replace the built-in Windows Solitaire game with PySolFC, a free Solitaire engine that is able to play over 1,000 variants.

Items you will need

  • Internet connection

Step 1

Browse to the PySolFC official website using the link in the Resources section of this article.

Step 2

Scroll down the screen, and click "Download."

Step 3

Click the folder labeled "PySolFC-1.1."

Step 4

Click "PySolFC_1.1_setup.exe" to download the program, and save the file to the Desktop.

Step 5

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation. Click "Next" three times, and then click "Install." Click "Finish" when the setup process is complete.

Step 6

Right-click on the shortcut icon for the standard Windows Solitaire program, and select "Delete" if you no longer wish to see it on the Start menu.

Step 7

Click "Start," "All Programs," "PySol Fan Club Edition" and "PySol Fan Club Edition" to launch the game.
