How to Upload to GKG Web Hosting

Uploading files to your GKG hosting account is quick and easy.

GKG is a web-hosting company that offers personal and e-commerce hosting, domain name registration, and web development services to individuals and businesses. As with other web hosts, you must upload files from your computer to your web server to view them online. GKG offers an easy-to-use, point-and-click web interface that allows you to perform the upload process without downloading and installing any software.

Step 1

Log into your website Control Panel. Enter your website URL or IP address in your web browser, followed by "/cpanel" (it will look like this: http://mywebsite.com/cpanel). Provide your username and password when prompted and click "OK."

Step 2

Open the "File Manager" utility. Locate the "Files" section on the right side of the Control Panel. Click the icon labeled "File Manager." If prompted to select a directory, choose the "Web Root" option and click the "Go" button.

Step 3

Upload your files. Click the button labeled "Upload" within the "File Manager" utility. On the following screen, click the "Browse" button and locate the file you want to upload from your computer. Double-click the file icon to upload it. The upload process generally takes just a few seconds, although it can last much longer for larger files. Continue to click "Browse" and select files until all of your documents have been uploaded.

Step 4

Close the Control Panel and all open Control Panel screens after completing the upload process to keep your web server and files secure.
